Colour : old gold with amber highlights.

The nose is gripped by salinity. The ‘wild coast’ aspect, sunny beach, sweet spices, asserts itself well, without extravagance or fantasy. This is a Cognac that gives a certain pleasure through its ‘accessible’, gourmand and unexpected side.

On the palate, it's a smooth Cognac with a velvety texture, which can be explained by its long ageing in a very small, damp cellar on the island of Oléron, just a stone's throw from the ocean.

The iodine is mouth-watering, and the finish isn't very long, but well-balanced. Lovely, simple and comforting.

The Grosperrin N°90 Bois Ordinaires île d'Oléron comes from a small estate located in St-Pierre-d'Oléron, on the Île d'Oléron, nicknamed "The Island of Herbs". This sandy terroir, bathed by the spray of the Atlantic and influenced by the Gulf Stream, gives this Cognac distinctly maritime notes.

Aged for a long time in a small damp cellar a few steps from the ocean, this Cognac has been transformed into a remarkable Hors d'Âge expression. Bottled at 46.4 % ABV barrel, it promises an intense tasting full of character.
